Going dark

May be off line for a while, as we are travelling up to the far reaches of northern England (including the fleshpots of Crewe), and even Scotland, for a while. Not sure if the intertubes have stretched that far yet.

Fortunately (or perhaps cleverly), we chose to avoid Heathrow. So we have at least some chance of getting there tomorrow.

Cheeky so and so.
I'm typing this from central Scotland on a reliable internet connection. Scotland is so wonderful that northern England is thinking of joining us rather than put up with the condems any longer.

Yes, it is rumoured that my parents (in Scotland) have recently got broadband - it's N England where we will still be relying on carrier pigeon.

Ah, going to the Atlantic coast to see if you can detect signs you're downwind of the United States?

Given the wind has been from the east for the last week or two, Hank, that might not work.

Way, way downwind in that case. :)
