streets of Ayr #1, originally uploaded by julesberry2001.

More cultural change over the last decade. Horrible dog shit replaced by horrible signs.

I wonder, do some English people make lovely little tree decorations with their full baggies? How about Japanese?

I've heard about this cute English (British?) habit of decorating trees but saw no sign of it so far. Certainly not in Japan where every dog-walker holds a lead in one hand and a little handbag in the other. I'm glad to see this habit catching on elsewhere (though IME it's France that really needs it, and I haven't been there recently).

The country has gone to the dogs.

I used to work in local government. I remember someone proposing a sign that had a drawing of a small child, trousers around its ankles, squatting, preparatory to shitting. The caption underneath read "You wouldn't let your child do this, why let your dog?"

It was the 1970s, so it never made it out of the council offices.

Never seen the tree decoration thing, though there are parts of Milton Keynes where there are no shit bins, so dog walkers have been bagging it and building small cairns instead...

Yes, you can see little bags hanging from tree's sometimes, it depends on the area and how many idiots live there. Its funny though, Icould have sworn there are fewer dogs around the area I grew up in, as if people don't have time to have them now.
