Fame at last

I see that someone has created a wikipedia page about me. So, if you want to find out about my brilliant career, you know where to click. I suppose I should be flattered that someone thought it worthwhile trying to disparage the betting idea.

In case it gets changed, the version I'm referring to is the one archived here. No, I'm not going to bother adding to or editing it - pages about me and my work are already available from the links at the RHS of this page. And anyway, it's not far from the truth :-)

Lubos will never learn... its been fixed up rather well, by one C-randles, who is fairly easy to identify should you wish to.

BTW, I could add a piccy of you to the page... how about the one of you at EGU just being told that you're fired? :-)))

Oh, I am disappointed. I assumed Lubos was Lumidek and didn't think he was the sort to hide behind an anonymous account.

Not sure I didn't prefer the original version anyway :-)

Dear James,

William had an excellent idea - that his pathetic blog could compete with the most authoritative blog about the climate. Won't you try to join the list, too? It's a great idea to try. ;-)

I am always contributing to Wikipedia as Lumidek. In the rare case I forget to log in, my corrections carry a Harvard IP address.

Dear Lubos,

No doubt there is a frightfully witty point to your suggestion, but it is not clear to me why William or I would consider our personal blogs as rivals to RealClimate (which, as I am sure you realise, he writes for extensively, and I did once).

If you are after an easy ego-massage, I suggest you start blogging about hamsters or daffodils or any other random subject of your choice about which you also know less than nothing. Perhaps somewhere in your string theories there exists a parallel universe in which Lubos Motl knows more than didly-squat about climate. But climatologists have to work with the real world, not pretend ones.

Dear James,

I am very happy that you realize whose analyses of the climate are more rational, even though you combined this important understanding with the strange jokes that followed in your comment.

All the best to you and your fellow crackpots ;-)

Lubos, I agree with James that your original entry was great. Can you do one for me too? I'd consider it a badge of honor, although I'm afraid I may not have earned it yet.
