The most disconcerting thing about the Japanese is their ability to sleep while standing up. It is also a bit odd the way that everybody regularly sleeps in meetings, and no one minds. One day I hope to be in a meeting where everybody falls asleep at the same time. I have my iphone Vuvuzela App primed to celebrate the event.

    This is a great photo! I've slept on a subway in Japan, but not standing up. I've also taken a photo of a woman sleeping while standing on the subway, but yours is way better. The lighting is quite similar to the ad in the background, which makes for an interesting effect.

    Thanks pough... The chap on the bottom of the photo is wide awake and avidly reading manga, which, I thought, added a little something to the scene.
